Macedonian cyrillic italic problem

Some of the cyrillic letters in the macedonian language should be looking different than in the russian:

This is how the browser displays it:	б в г д ѓ п т з к ѐ ѝ
This is the expected result (img*):

(*) the image is created with:
pango-view --font="DejaVu Serif Italic 24px" --text="б в г д ѓ п т з к ѐ ѝ" --language=mk --output=italic.png

You need to have the DejaVu fonts installed to even think to have a correct result.
